Pre-Wedding – Dr.Enda Kelly & Dr.Farrah Hani
January 21st, 2010Dr.Enda Kelly, a doctor from Ireland tied-the-knot with Dr.Farrah Hani, former Malaysia rhythmic gymnast represented the country when the sport was in its infancy in Malaysia. The down-to-earth and good-looking Dr.Farrah, who is of Punjabi-Malay parentage, was in fact the first gymnast to help popularize the sport in the country. She has come a long way since then. Today she is a lecturer in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Dr.Enda Kelly, a shy gentlemen and Dr.Farrah Hani, a cheerful lady who had their pre-wedding shoot over at the ever beautiful Carcosa Seri Negara. Carcosa Seri Negara was the official residence of the highest British representatives to the Malay States and it is one of the leading hotels in Kuala Lumpur with its manicured lawns and luxurious setting. But very unfortunate, Carcosa Seri Negara has been close on the 28th December 2009 for renovation until further notice.
Dr.Farrah’s wedding gown, from Temperley, London designs of combining eternal elegance with modern femininity and the most luxurious of fabrics and embellishments. With a gentle touch on the gown, one knows how luxurious and softness of the fabrics.
Being a photographer who love vibrant colour and fun shoot, capturing Dr.Enda & Dr.Farrah in a different way, was a challenge to me. Here’s are some of my favorite shoots.

With his smart look, Sun used to be a model for some designer clothes brand. And Moon, a manager for one of the top interior design magazine, Designer Concept. Pre-Wedding – Ernest & Valerie
November 3rd, 2009Having to shoot Ernest and Valerie’s pre-wedding was an eye opener for me as Valerie, she herself a great wedding gown and shoe designer. Valerie has a vast background from the shoe design industries. Graduated from a design and fashion institution, experiences and knowledges has help her to be one of the upcoming designer in the industry. An entrepreneur of herself, having launched her Valerie Fan Boutique recently. Here are some shoots of them together with her own designed gowns. Looking forwards for their 2nd shoot in Melbourne, Australia in 2010. Stay tune!

Self-Scripted, Self-Directed and Self-Acted Pre-Wedding
October 16th, 2009As i have promise earlier to all my friends, i will post up some of my pre-wedding photos that i self-directed and self-scripted for my own pre-wedding shoots. Yes, you are not wrong and this is not a typo mistake. i scripted down the locations, timing and props, directed every angles, compositions and exposures, and acted on my own pre-wedding shoots couples of months before my wedding. Probably this is the first kind of shoot made by a wedding photographer in Malaysia.
With the helps and supports from some close friends, i made it happened! Thanks to my lovely sister Jenny and Rachel, my close friends Sam, Shin Nong, Fook and Leong for the big contributions.
I had many different sessions stretch into few days shoot. Here’s some of the shoots from the fun session. Enjoy guys!

The Launch
October 16th, 2009Welcome to my new blog!
After months of delays on the programme of this new blog, i finally call it “the launch”.
Starting from today onwards, my old blog “www.darenchongphotography.blogspot.com” will be my photos’ blog museum. All the new upcoming photos post will be on this new blog.
My sincere apologize to all my readers out there for being so patience for the past few months while waiting for my new blog launch.
For the past one year, being a professional wedding and portrait photographer, my life has been more happier than ever in my career life. Ever since young, my dream job is to be a professional photographer. And having achieving and pursuing the dream is like striking the lottery in unimagenery way.
My journey as a photographer for the past one year has been a fruitful journey to me. Having say fruitful, doesn’t means having a smooth way reaching my dream and goal. Life is always like a roller-coaster ride. Without experiencing the ups and the downs, life is never complete. Saying that, patience, commitment and most importantly passion helps me through the downs. And the supports given by my love one, the words “give-up” never ever written in Daren Chong’s dictionary.
As of today, not only launching my new blog, i’ve just celebrated my 1st anniversary as a photographer not so long ago. i would like to take this opportunity to thanks to my mum, dad and my 2 lovely sister (jenny & rachel) for their loves and cares, all my dear friends, my blog readers and my 2nd shooters (Benjamin, Steven & Shin Nong) for the supports, all my truly respected fellows photographer (Leong, Shane, Weng Yap, Joshua K and Jenny Sun) for the great guidance given to me, and to the love of my life – my wife (Peggy) for her great patience, supports and loves showering me all these years. Love you all!
